Hello fellow travelers! Everyone has their own bucket list of places they’d like to explore in the world, and here are mine!

Iceland

Iceland is on the very top of my bucket list for several reasons. Not only is it a beautiful country, there’s always a chance to see the northern lights because of how north it lies.

Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands is high on my bucket list, pretty much for the same reasons as why I want to go to Iceland. One thing that attracted me about the Faroe Islands is the chance to see puffins.

Norway

Norway has been one of the countries I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. Not only is it beautiful, I’m also curious about Norway’s culture. One thing that really attracted me about Norway is the city of Bergen- it combines both urban life and nature.

Singapore

Singapore is high on my list for several reasons. One fun fact is that I was born there, but because of my brother’s severe disability, my family had to come to the US to get him the help he needed. Had we stayed in Singapore at the time, my brother would have had to wait at least 5 years to get into a specialized school. I’m interested in seeing what’s changed since we last lived there, and it’s a good way to get back to my roots.

New Zealand

New Zealand is basically just like Norway, Iceland, and the Faroe Islands except in the southern hemisphere: full of beautiful things I want to see. One place that’s always attracted me to New Zealand is Lake Tekapo and its lupine fields.

South Georgia

As an avid animal lover, South Georgia is definitely one of my top destinations. Penguins are one of my favorite animals, and going to either Antarctica or South Georgia is definitely a dream of mine, as expensive as it is.

Amsterdam/The Netherlands

Amsterdam and the Netherlands is one place I’d like to visit. This stems from me having a long distance relationship with a Dutch boy and that inspired me to learn Dutch. Although the relationship didn’t last, I’d still like to see the Netherlands because it has such interesting architecture and culture.

Boston

Fun fact about this location is that I’m actually going to Boston next month. It’s been on my list of places I’d like to explore for a long time because one of my favorite games (Fallout 4) takes place in a post nuclear apocalyptic version of Boston.

Switzerland

I will be going to Switzerland next year in the fall, so this is yet another destination on my top 10 list that’s been knocked out. Switzerland is a beautiful country, despite it being landlocked, because it’s located in the middle of the Alps. I love Swiss architecture and nature as well.

London/UK

London is definitely one of my top 10 places to explore. I have had a soft spot for London since my early blogging days, as that was THE blogger city. I still want to go to experience the culture and how different it is from the US, but I’d also like to explore more of the UK as well.

  1. Thanks for sharing your travel bucket list! I’m also very intrigued by Iceland and the Faroe Islands. The idea of seeing the northern lights and puffins sounds magical. Since your list covers so many countries, I wonder if you’ve come across the site https://world-prices.com. It has some info on global prices, though who knows how current it is. Curious if you find it useful for planning any of these trips?
