Hello fellow travelers! I have lived in the U.S. for practically my entire life, but there are still some places I have yet to explore. Here are some of those places that I’d love to visit!

Pacific Northwest

I’ve always wanted to go to the Pacific Northwest. I love how rugged and nature-focused it is, and it’s also a beautiful region. I’d like to explore the states of Oregon and Washington, and maybe even visit British Columbia.

Hawaii

I visited Hawaii when I was 16 with my family as that was one dying wish my grandmother had. I would love to go back again. I love how the islands are so beautiful, and it’s not too terribly hot, unlike Florida. Hawaii gets short bursts of drizzle, but after every time, a rainbow appears. I would like to revisit Maui, along with visiting the main island and Oahu, where Honolulu is.

Yellowstone

I’ll admit, Yellowstone slightly terrifies me. It scares me because it is an active super volcano. Supervolcanoes are volcanoes that have had immense eruptions registering 8 on the volcanic explosivity index. The last eruption of Yellowstone happened a couple million years ago, way before you and I were ever here. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to go and feel the earth “breathe” beneath your feet. You can also see the gorgeous wildlife, like buffalo.

Northern New England and Cape Cod

I’d also love to explore Northern New England (Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine) and Cape Cod in Mass. I’ve ever only been to Boston and Salem. I wanted to go to Cape Cod. However, I figured it would be too cold. I thought that spring or summer would be a better time to go. I would love to explore Vermont’s and New Hampshire’s beautiful mountains, and see Acadia National Park in Maine. I’d also love to see Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard in Cape Cod. There is also a city called Concord in Mass, almost an hour outside Boston. Concord is home to the Minuteman National Park. Because I played a lot of Fallout 4, I would love to visit that park. I would also love to see Fort Independence. It is a key place in Fallout 4. In Fallout 4, it is called “The Castle”.

Alaska

Alaska is the biggest state in the U.S., and one of the most beautiful from the photos I’ve seen. You can see the Northern Lights sometimes. Alaska is also home to many wildlife species, including whales, bears, and more. I would love to visit this lovely state and see all it has to offer.

Roswell, NM and Area 51

I’m normally not one to tout for alien enthusiasts. I would definitely like to visit a couple of places in the American Southwest. These places are Roswell, New Mexico, and Area 51. I like that they played off their extraterrestrial fame. It’s definitely a place I’d love to visit because space is one of my special interests. I’ve also wondered if alien life exists in the universe, making this the perfect spot for me.

Route 66

Route 66 is not a place as much as it is a road. It is one of the original highways in the US Numbered Highway System. It stretches all the way from Chicago in Illinois to Santa Monica in California. I love the stops along the way, as it reminds me of old western films and movies.

Minuteman Missile National Historic Site and Ronald Reagan Minuteman State Historic Site

The Minuteman Missile National Historic Site was built around the time of the Cold War. The Ronald Reagan Minuteman State Historic Site was also constructed during this period. The Minuteman Missile National Historic Site is located in South Dakota. It has a museum illustrating the history and significance of the Cold War. The museum also explores the nuclear arms race. The Ronald Reagan Minuteman State Historic Site consists of two former launch sites. These are the Oscar-Zero Missile Alert Facility and the November 33 Launch Facility. I love history, and I would love to learn more about how the Cold War affected the U.S.
